I use natural fibers throughout my products, and I love to re-work them. I’m hand-fringing my wool and cotton scarves, and also around the edges of embroidered cutouts on my smaller bags. For larger bags I’m pairing unexpected patterns and textures. I upcycle wool, cashmere and alpaca sweaters, beanies and headbands with one-of-a-kind, original woven or embroidered images. I make hats, gloves and faux fur mittens from unique “dead stock” fabrics. (Dead stock fabrics are fabrics that would otherwise go into landfills.) I print my cotton t-shirts with eco-friendly ink, rather than commonly used plastisol (that rough, hard ink that never breaks down in a landfill), and find or create rare and inspired images to print upon them.
