Nearly 30 years ago, Angela Mueller arrived in Vail, Colorado — a mountain town still carving out its cultural identity. One of her first connections was with Randy Milhoan, a renowned local artisan who, alongside several visionary artists, had established the Summer in Vail Art Workshop.

Before Vail had its golf courses or luxury reputation, the valley was alive with creativity — artists camped across the meadows and mountains, painting, sculpting, and creating all summer long. Their spirit attracted some of the most gifted artisans from across the country, infusing the valley with a raw, authentic artistic soul that left an indelible mark on Angela.

Years later, Angela had the privilege of working with Randy to organize an anniversary gathering for many of the original Summer in Vail artists. Seeing these remarkable creators reunite and witnessing the deep connections forged through art reaffirmed something she had always believed:
Vail needs a revival of that spirit.
